Commerzbank rebranding

2010. July 19.

Commerzbank_Debrecen

BÉFLEX Signage recently won the tender of Commerzbank for the complex replacement of all outdoor signs and logos in its each Hungarian bank offices. Our success was the result of our very good offer and the fact that the quality provided by us was 100 % matching with the requirements laid down in Commerzbank Frankfurt HQ. For the above reasons our original order was already extended at the beginning of the project, bank offices in Czech Republic and Slovakia were attached to the original plan – so finally we had to cope with 17 spots in 3 countries altogether.

After getting the purchase order in May, our top priority was to start and finish purchasing process of raw materials as soon as possible. The speciality was that we had to order many extraordinary materials like: special plexi, LED lights and rarely used profiles.

CAD designing also started in line with purchasing process. At that stage main focus was the careful consideration of all unique and extra features of the different locations.

After finishing all the preparation works, the project management’s role and responsibility became crucial – work had to be organized in 3 countries, on 17 spots paying attention for all small details carefully – in order to get the project closed in less than 2 months time. Logistics operations were under continuous control as geographical and timely factors must have been handled parallel.

Commerzbank_Debrecen03

Not only these facts made us proud for this project: all of our end-products represent high level of technology, aesthetics and perfect quality, every item got its final form exclusively processed.

Logos and signages placed on facades and on roofs were produced in different sizes. One of the many challenges was the smaller size signage production as these were prepared in 40 mm thickness illuminating homogenously. Another important aspect for the customer challenging us was that signages and vacuum-formed logos should illuminate exactly the same way.

We had to guarantee that the radius of all the letters in the signages in reality will appear 100 % conformity with the plans. A rarely used fixing method in Hungary adopted for the installation of smaller items – by using a power rail (power track) with attachable, specific LED lights. Faces and superficies were produced of plexi, convex inlays were created not by plexi cutting but by forming “profile 8” letter bodies.

Summarizing the experiences of the process we can say that we were able to harmonize and to apply state of the art production methods (plexi gluing, vacuum-forming, black & white signing, satin plexi processing) parallel due to the expertise of our colleagues working in the production.

Commerzbank_Debrecen02

The proof of the success of this project is that we are recently having further discussions with Commerzbank about similar outdoor rebranding projects in different countries of the region, and we even won an indoor project for Hungarian bank offices.

Allianz

2010. July 15.

Our company successfully completed another demanding task at the end of May – when we have installed the illuminating logo of “Allianz Hungária Biztosító” on the facade of the newly built K3 office on Könyves Kálmán street by the order of Market Építő Zrt.

At the beginning of the project we were in charge only the production and the installation of the signage, but in the meantime this was completed with another task: we had to install an “iron net” fixed on a ready-made iron framework – which technological solution is rarely known is Hungary.

The novelty inclined us to create our own technological solutions for fixing the iron net. Though this was a new challenge for them also the experienced installation colleagues managed to fulfil the task based on our engineers’ plans.

After this, the next step – to install the illuminating sign – was already a “routine” for them. The logo was produced with energy saver LED lights meeting the requirements of Allianz, also harmonizing with the environmental focus that attributes K3 offices.

Country wide SPAR promotion supported by BEFLEX Solutions

2010. July 15.

Spar02

BÉFLEX Solutions Kft. assisted successfully again this year in SPAR’s Villeroy & Boch promotion campaign organized by TCC.

Similar countrywide promotion held every year, this year’s actuality is the “loyalty sticker” collected in a special promotional leaflet that enables customers to buy high quality Villeroy & Boch products and accessories at a promotional discount price.

Our company was asked for the production of the promotional collector leaflet, the stickers, POS tools placed in stores: hanging boards, posters and product displays. The bottleneck of the project was the short deadline – we had only 1,5 weeks to complete the delivery – but after cross-checking our capacity and possibilities we decided to take the order.

In order to complete the task on time, we handled this project as a top priority, based on effective and careful resource planning and project management so the high volume (few million pieces) order for stickers and promotion leaflets and also the other visual marketing communication tools were delivered in necessary quantity on a high quality level for our client’s satisfaction.

This co-operation was a good example that one of our company’s definite strengths is to support countrywide promotions and marketing campaigns on a high quality, quick and professional manner focusing on our customers’ needs. This campaign will last till 18th August, 2010 – so hopefully many of our readers will meet our visual communication products in the stores during the campaign.

NESCAFE Dolce Gusto unique display design

2010. July 9.

DolceGusto_GreatCoffee_01

NESCAFE Dolce Gusto is a unique coffee machine that incorporates NESCAFE’s coffee making traditions, expertise, and the technological, mechanical innovation of KRUPS. This coffee machine is able to provide the experience of a coffee offered in best quality Cafés – but at a comfortable home.

One of the customer’s plans for market introduction of this premium category machine – that has a beautiful design itself – was to have a uniquely designed POS display: form harmonizing with the form of the machine, the display’s appearance, base materials and its construction will effectively support the visual communication of this high quality product.

BÉFLEX Design Team designed an exclusive, wooden display with glass shelves and hidden lights for this NESTLÉ tender – and successfully won it. After the production and approval of the prototype the mass production has started so Hungarian customers could meet with this brand new coffee machine placed on BEFLEX’s display in all stores.

If this would be the end of this story, that was already a “success story” for BEFLEX designers. But, after a couple of months NESCAFE Dolce Gusto team had an international, European workshop held in Hungary – where all the experts introduced their own POS solutions used during the market introduction of the machine. The Hungarian team introduced the BEFLEX design and product – with an entire success. After this BEFLEX experienced international interest for their display, what’s more: the first lot of the display was already delivered to Portugal, and there are ongoing discussions about the same with Greece and Norway, too.

Corner Bakery

2010. July 9.

Corner Bakery látványtervWe have produced illuminating company logo for Corner Bakery Coffee and Sandwich Bar. One of the specialities of this project is that the spot is situated at Ferihegy 1 Airport – so we also had to adapt for the special security requirements.

The logo is a cantilever sign arising from the facade, with LED illumination built inside, in 80 x 50 cm size. The stylized form of the logo created by us is a very effective way to grab the customers’ attention. We implemented several other extraordinary tools in order to make this signage special: we formed an illuminating bread sack with the help of transparent plexi and foil. To achieve the final form of the baguettes we were close to implement “industrial sculpture” technologies. Base material of the logo is: etched, polished, painted PVC foam.

10 Minutes Bistro & Cafe

2010. July 9.

The owner of 10 Minutes Bistro & Cafe delegated us to produce 2 illuminating signs for them. The Bistro is situated in Futó street part of Corvin Office – which is the part of the recently built Corvin Passage.

We have produced cantilever sign, communicating into 2 directions, with led illumination built inside. We constructed an inner frame covered with plastic so the light can be seen not only on both sides, but also on the superficies part of the signage.

The cantilever sign is produced in 100 x 100 cm size, the other type fixed on the wall is in 120 x 120 cm. In order to protect the signage against the blast environmental effects several preservation methods were adopted. Graphical solutions used: etched aluminium board painted black, statuesquely arising “10″ characters, inlaid white and red letters.

High speed and excellent printing quality

2010. July 6.

Durst Rho320R @ Beflex Durst Rho 320R Durst Rho320R

DURST Rho 320R large format roll-to-roll digital printing machine is the latest investment of BÉFLEX Grafika Kft. Non-refundable financial support of the European Union won by the company for partial finalization of this investment.

Careful field-research process took place before the final decision was made which model to buy. We took several options into consideration in order to find the best possible solution. Pros were: good high performance / printing quality / price rate and our excellent previous experiences with another DURST board printing machine.

The most important characteristics of the machine is its quickness: with the max.130 m2 hourly printing speed this is the company’s quickest printing machine and this speed is coming with excellent printing quality. Durst Rho 320R has a max. 320 cm printing width, real 600 dpi resolution, operates with 6 colours + white colour printing on the wide range of uncoated and coated roll media types like banner media, vinyl, tarpaulin, truck-banner, polyester, textiles, canvas, paper, self-adhesive PVC, PVC / PA transparent media types, mesh, etc. It enables economic printing of offset quality particularly for large format indoor applications. Demanding and profitable applications such as lightbox displays, illuminated posters, window graphics, POP displays and advertising textiles can be achieved with the Rho 320R in a previously unattainable quality.

The new machine was installed in June, 2010 and hopefully will result the further improvement of BEFLEX Grafika’s capacity and effectiveness together with higher quality and the wider range of media types – in order to achieve even better and quicker customer service towards our clients.

Djuice Cafe

2010. July 5.

BÉFLEX successfully won a complex Djuice tender recently that contained design, production and installation of “Djuice Cafe” kiosk.

Djuice’s intention was something more than an average POS kiosk – a meeting point that will be placed in Hungarian shopping centres, has an open space design to encourage clients to enter and which is suitable from one hand – as a Cafe – to invite them for a nice coffee and from the other hand it can display the company’s hottest products and services interactively. The client wanted the design to be young, dynamic, modern and transparent – based on the elements of the Djuice corporate image, also harmonizing with the indoor design and atmosphere of the Hungarian shopping centres.

Several other technical specifications from customer’s side must be considered during the design process: the kiosk area was relatively small (15 m2) – on this area the designers had to find enough place for 3 work stations, for the machines used in the Cafe (refrigerators and coffee machines), large- screen plazma TV-s, media players, laptops placed on standing displays in a way that won’t affect the transparency of the whole kiosk area. They also had to find a good solution for shutting the kiosk itself at the end of the day, and to design inside storage area, too.

BEFLEX designer team made several designs from which 2 different versions had been sent for the tender. One of them was chosen as a winner by Djuice, competing with many other contesters. The winning design had an attractive form and innovative design from all views. Attractive lighting letters were placed on the sides: “Cafe” and “djuice”, the top of the kiosk is covered by transparent panels so the kiosk itself is a visual experience especially from the upper floors of the shopping centres. Sliding doors were implemented for closing the kiosk which was a perfect solution to keep the space “open” and “transparent” during the working hours. The design process was followed by the prototype production that took only 1 week for BEFLEX teams.

But design process didn’t finish at that stage. The project continuously adapted the different requests from customer’s side, also the various demands arising from the local spots. During the production BEFLEX had to find solutions for “real-life” problems like security and avoiding possible shoplifting.

The next step after the prototype was accepted by Djuice was mass production: kiosks were installed on 11 different spots in 3 weeks time. This could happen only with well-organized team work: this project was a perfect example for in-house co-operation of different teams like design, CAD, and production. Installation teams also had to face several difficulties – as the whole installation process had to be completed during one night on each spot. Project management organized this perfectly and they also paid attention for all the small details during the harmonization with the local operational teams of the shopping centres.

The lifespan of the kiosk is relatively long: BEFLEX has a 3-year guarantee for them so people will have the possibility to enjoy the visual experience of the kiosks in many shopping centres all over the country for at least 3 years.

Money and More

2010. January 27.

Statuesque look, stainless steel characters with plexi face. The depth of the characters is 60 mm, which does not influence the homogeneity of the lighting. Miniature LED lights have been applied for the lighting inside. We had to make a compromise between the aesthetics and the possibilities of the assembly. Accordingly, the characters have been fixed on a center-positioned bus bar. According to the demand of the procurer we placed signs in Budapest, Veszprém and Szeged in different sizes: from 170mm to 740mm.

Prettl Érd

2010. January 27.

PC220015

For PRETTL, a multinational company’s new site we constructed illuminating façade signs and a freestanding totem pole. The 2000mm high aluminum faces of the sign are fixed on separated steel-framed construction. The inside LED lights illuminate a strung foil face.

The 700mm high characters with plexi face have been created on the façade with another approach. These have been fixed on a bus bar, and the colorful plexis are illuminated also by LED lights.

Next to the building we placed a 3 meter high totem pole, which is a steel-framed construction covered by powder-coated aluminum. We achieved the graphic with an inlay and vinyl foil. The light source inside illuminates at dark, making the company’s name and site’s name visible.

At the size determination of the 2000mm sign we identified both the demand of procurer and the possibilities of the building. As a result of these, the sign is visible from highway M6 and road 7.

UNIQA Hall

2010. January 27.

For Uniqa Insurance Company’s new office-block in Róbert Károly Boulevard we constructed advertisements for the façade and roof. The demand of the procurer was a lasting vision at the predetermined places according to the company`s image guidelines.

The 1500mm high characters have been stationed to terrace surface on the 7th floor. The RAL powder painted characters were made of aluminum. To the plexi face we applied digital imprint and vinyl foil. The light source inside is lasting and energy saver LED. As a result of these, the 10 m long sign is visible at dark.

The sign above the main entrance of the building is 6500mm long and 9500mm high which’s implementation is equal to the sign on the terrace. The only difference is that the steel-framed construction has been fixed in the ferroconcrete bearer.

Shell Totem poles

2010. January 27.

The former Tesco filling-station has been changed to Shell image permanently, which’s significant element is the 14500mm high totem pole. These production and outplacement works have been done at 5 places in Hungary.  With a comprehensive technician project management we could solve all of the problems under the whole process and moreover the available time for complex work was 2 months. Thanks to prominent partnerships the outplacement has been executed according to schedule. We succeeded in corresponding to work safety specifications because of the special and strict requirements of Shell filling-station. At the end the procurer was entirely satisfied with our company’s services which represent our competence of this kind of complex work.

Our firm has enlarged the reference list with a newer Pratiker’s storehouse. Last year we had 2 sites in Hungary now we have installed the illuminated signes of Praktiker’s storehouse in Albania successfully. The main parts of the project were illuminated boxes in extreme sizes ( 3pieces 14,3*3m , and 3 pieces 9*2,4 m ) Against the great distance we could organize the installation in a professional way. Due to the this illuminated advertising Praktiker can greet its customers with EU quality appearance.

STOP-SHOP Gödöllő

2009. October 12.

The STOP SHOP shopping park in Gödöllő has been opened May 2009, at the exit of the M7 highway. It belongs to a commercial zone, its size is 8000 square meters and it has 336 parking spaces. The Béflex In the last stage of the constructions, Béflex has placed 150 square meter illuminating boxes at different points on the building. Among the 34 advertisements surfaces there were large  illuminating boxes with plexi face, medium-sized products with vynil foil which have been fixed on prefabricated steel-frames. In order to avoid issues with the foil joints, the graphics of large boxes have been constructed with board printing.

On one of the façades of the building we placed a unique corner box, which’s digital printed vinyl foil has been made in one block. The 3×3 meter sized STOP SHOP box on the top of the totem pole contains also vinyl foil. The production department of Béflex provided these, and it has been placed on the steel-frame with a crane.
